Mid-Michigan Women’s Expo Returns to Lansing for its 18th Year
Event celebrating personal style, wellness and inspiration runs Feb. 2-4

Lansing, Michigan, January 9, 2018 – The Mid-Michigan Women’s Expo returns to Lansing for its 18th year in February, giving women an opportunity to bring their best girls for a weekend that will inspire their personal health, home and style, giving women something to feel good about.
The 2018 Expo is slated for Feb. 2 to Feb. 4 at the Lansing Center. This year’s lineup features products, services and seminars that aim to provide a weekend of enjoyment and education for women of all ages.  Whatever interests you have, women will find that special something here.
The three-day Expo is the largest single consumer event for women in Mid-Michigan and will feature more than 250 women-owned and women-focused businesses. The Expo will also include a wealth of health information and complimentary assessments – all accessible to women under one roof.
“From shopping to fashion to cooking, this year’s show really does promise to have everything the Mid-Michigan woman wants,” says Pam Glass, President of Kohler Expos, Inc. “The very best from around our state will be on hand, providing demonstrations and live experiences.
Women will be inspired by the keynote speakers, learn new recipes and cooking techniques, and see the latest in health resources. Local and regional experts will offer engaging and entertaining presentations and demonstrations on a variety of subjects, including speed painting, healthy eating, fashion trends and more.”
McLaren Greater Lansing will once again return as sponsor of the Mid-Michigan Women's Expo. McLaren nurses, physicians, and other professionals will be on hand providing a variety of health screenings including cholesterol and blood pressure checks, diabetes and stroke assessments, EKG testing, carotid artery scans, 3D/4D ultrasounds for pregnant women, and much more! Having just announced the plan to build a new state-of-the-art hospital in Lansing, there will also be an area where you can learn more about the project and how you can help redesign health care!

WLNS NewsCenter 6 continues to be a media sponsor for the upcoming show, providing exclusive coverage of events throughout the weekend. Expo attendees can meet and have their photos taken with their favorite on-air celebrities throughout the weekend.
Capital Area District Libraries will again return as host of the featured speakers for the 2018 Expo. They will be presenting Chef Shaun O’Neale, Winner of MasterChef Season 7 on FOX and Author of “My Modern American Table” on stage Friday, Feb. 2.  He will conduct cooking demonstrations that showcase his take on modern American Cuisine. Copies of his cookbook will be available for sale and signing at the expo.  Capital Area District Libraries will also host Martina Hahn, Speed Painter, Artistic Performer and Motivational Speaker, on stage Saturday, Feb. 3.  She will create a live speed painting performance at the expo.
Also hitting the Main Stage will be Laurie Gravelyn from Hoola Jewelry, which is based in Chelsea. She will discuss what she calls the “trickle-down fashion effect,” relating 2018 trends she notices to the everyday woman’s fashion.
Wine & Canvas will feature on-site painting classes with talented instructors who will guide participants step-by-step as they create their very own canvas creation, which they can take home the same day.
Another highlight of this year’s Expo is the presence of locally owned independent business owners.
“Today's market grows more and more competitive, with many new companies emerging daily,” Glass said. “This year's show will feature many different direct sale businesses such as LulaRoe, Tastefully Simple, Young Living Essential Oils, Tupperware, and Mary Kay. This gives women the opportunity to buy a trusted product while still supporting locally owned, female-run independent businesses.”
The Expo is slated to run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4. Admission at the door is $9 for adults and $7 for children ages 6 to 14.  For more information, visit www.KohlerExpo.com.
